   Tour operating companies that specialize in the Italian destination ask their retail partners to present documents for visa application in advance. Lubov Chistyakova, General Director of Mondo Tours, explained the situation: ‘The Italian Embassy does not work on April 17th and April 25th due to national holidays’. Besides, Easter week (April 17th –April 25th) might affect the visa issuing process: ‘Many consulate agents have their holidays during this period that affects the workload which is going to be even higher before May Holidays’, said Yuri Stepin, General Director Deputy of PAC Group.
    Therefore, tour operators, forecasting the situation, try to eliminate potential problems. ‘If an application date coincides with a day off in the Embassy we write to the Consular asking to postpone a currier visit’, stated Stepin. Experts point out another measure to avoid queues on peak dates – applying for visas at the beginning of April planning a trip for May favored by sales depth in the Italian destination.
    Furthermore, the first Monday after the Catholic Easter was announced a day off in many European countries. Thus, according to Inna Tour, the Embassy of France and the Embassy of Great Britain will be closed on this day.
