May Holidays will introduce changes in the work of the Chinese Consulate in Moscow. According to Russian tour operators interviewed by a BANKO correspondent, the Consulate has not announced the duration of the official holiday period yet, however, experts make their own forecasts: ‘Most probably, April 30th is the last working day for consular agents. Thus, they will have a holiday from May 1st to May 7th’, said Rimma Ilyasova, Senior Expert in Chinese Destination of EAST LINE. Nevertheless, the long holiday period will not affect the work of tour operators – they apply for visas in advance. ‘Moreover, there is an opportunity to get visa on arrival to Beijing. In order to receive visa at the airport it is necessary to send a copy of a passport to an incoming company in China. In Moscow visa issuing process takes seven days’ summarized Ilyasova.
Meanwhile, are not concerned about visa situation in the European Embassies in Russia. Experts point out that the French visa issuing period increase but as it had been announced in advance it did not result into stressful situation for tour operating companies.
