Egypt Is Ahead Of Turkey

   Travel market experts interviewed by a BANKO correspondent point out that at the moment tours to Egypt are more popular than tours to Turkey among those tourists who plan to sunbathe during May Holidays.
   Thus, Gennady Kosarev, General Director of Fresh Travel, commented on the situation as follows: ‘this year Egypt sales depth is optimal and May demand for Egypt is higher than for Turkey. I think, tourists consider their previous experience understanding that at the beginning of May Turkey might welcome them with rains and storms’. Elena Pistsova, the Head of the Turkish Department of Tourenergoservice, agreed: ‘Turkey is not popular with Russian tourists this May due to the following factors: information about the bird flu outbreak, unstable situation in the Muslim countries and satiety of the country’.
   As a result, tour operators organize additional charter flights to Egypt. For example, TEZ TOUR plans to prolong their winter charter program Samara – Hurgada by KD-Avia. At the end of April flights by Samara Airlines are scheduled to be added to the existing program. Moreover, TEZ TOUR does not exclude the possibility that a charter from Ufa to Hurgada will also fly in summer.
