Thus, a combined flight in co-operation with VIM-avia was launched on August 10th by Pantheon, Labyrinth, VKO Travel with Labyrinth and VKO Travel having canceled their flight with by KD-avia. ‘The excess of air traffic volume has reached around 350 seats per week’, commented Anatoly Garkushin, General Director of Pantheon. The Head of the Greek Department of VKO Travel, Irina Golubeva, added: ‘Integration of efforts is a right step in the current situation’.
Furthermore, co-consolidation of charter programs will apparently continue. ‘Market players want to combine efforts, when flight load approaches 70%, it becomes a necessity’, believes General Director of the Russian Charter Center, Alexey Molokov. Meanwhile, further cancellations of charters might engender new difficulties. According to experts, the situation with in-country services got worse owing traditional vacation period for Greeks. Forecasts say that it will finish by August 17th that will result into more accommodation. Moreover, starting from August 17th a number of back flights will increase. Therefore, air traffic volume might turn out to be in shortage. However, at the moment there is no exact information regarding charter plans of tour operators. ‘We will wait until August 17th’, tour operators say.
