VIM-avia Reacts On The Results Announced By The Rosaviation

On July 5th VIM-avia reacted on the criticism by Rosaviation. We remind you that according to analysis of flight regularity in May and June VIM-avia was recognized to be on the top of delays list. ‘Apparently, the FAAT underestimates the specificity of VIM-avia that positions itself on the market as a charter airline: ‘it is difficult to compare scheduled and charter flights, that is 60% of all flights operated by the airline company’, the press-release of the airline says referring to Roman Pakhomov, General Director of VIM-avia. The press release also specifies that 25 flights operated with more than 3-hour delays is not more than 2,7% of the total number of charters in May in June. Furthermore, VIM-avia pointed out the imperfection of the official statistics, which, according to VIM-avia version, does not consider charter flight specificity: a postponed flight agreed with its consolidator is registered as a delay. VIM-avia representatives also explain delays by the fact that East Line Technic – ‘provider of liner technical services’- ‘does not fully comply with the contract terms’, that affects the flight schedule. As a conclusion Roman Pakhomov expressed hope that the summer peak will be more successful: ‘On July 5th the 16th aircraft added VIM-avia airpark that was delayed owing the complicated bureaucratic and customs procedure. Therefore, flight regularity performance will be considerably improved’. Meanwhile, KD-avia that was also criticized by aviation authorities still withholds commenting on the situation.
