The Perm Market is Overwhelmed with Egypt

[IMG=21327-7187]Forecasts regarding the considerable excess of flights from Perm to Egyptian resorts have materialized. Two programs to Sharm-el-Sheikh consolidated by TEZ TOUR and Riviera and a flight to Hurgada consolidated by TEZ TOUR are not in demand on the local market. Experts of the Perm travel market explained: ‘considering the market size current flights are excessive’. As a result by the end of October the local market is overwhelmed with special offers – there are tours to Egypt for $450–500, that is equal to ticket cost. Special offers mainly refer to Sharm-el-Sheikh resorts owing the toughest competition on the route. Two-week tours to the resort with 4* accommodation are available for $499 per person. Meanwhile, Natalia Erokhina, Head of Riviera Office in Perm, believes that operating one flight to Hurgada and one flight to Sharm-el-Sheikh thus dividing spheres of influence between consolidators would improve the current situation. Nevertheless, Riviera itself does not intend to initiate flight termination. ‘We do not plan to terminate our flights. Besides only two flights consolidated by our company are left – on October 28th and November 9th’, said Erokhina. Furthermore, TEZ TOUR does not rush into making such a decision: ‘at the moment we do not plan to cancel any of our flights. We will decide upon a factual flight load. We will adopt changes if necessary’, commented Roman Ribakov, PR Director of TEZ TOUR.
