The Aviation Industry Is Entering The Revolutionary Epoch

   The aviation industry seems to enter the epoch of reforms and rearrangement of powers.
    Thus, on April 6th BANKO Information Service reported that Evgenyi Bachurin, Commercial Director of Aeroflot, is leaving his company to take a position of one of the Deputies of Federal Agency of Air Transport (the FAAT). In an additional move RATA-news reported that the FAAT delegated its powers in the sphere of regulation, organization and control of air traffic in Russia to the newly created aviation structure Rosaeronavigation.
   Experts believe that both events might be interpreted as strengthening of the certain structures, on the one hand, and a prelude to the collision of their interests, on the other hand. Aviation industry experts forecast that appointment of Bachurin, known for his radical changes, is aimed at regaining the FAAT powers from Rosaeronavigation.
   Furthermore, experts think that Bachurin who used to work in the commercial structure will most probably face specific difficulties on his new position. An anonymous expert pointed out as follows: I think, that appointment of ‘reform oriented Bachurin’ is a nonrandom decision. He will have enough power to adopt considerable changes within the FAAT and to increase reliability of the main aviation institution in Russia, that is especially important on the threshold of the elections 2008’.
