SU to Hanover

[IMG=20627-6415]The Press Service of Aeroflot announced a launch of a scheduled flight to Hanover on September 5th 2006. The flight SU-129/130 will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays by TU-154M. It is planned to operate flights to Hanover also by Airbus – 320 in 2007 and to increase the frequency of flights to 7 per week. Representatives of Russian tour operating companies in Germany believe that the new flight will be in demand, especially with businessmen. Thus, Olga Zharkova, The Head of the German Department of Russian Express, said: ‘Exhibitions are held in Hanover all year round’. Alexander Turchenko, General Director of Chaika-tour, added that the new route of Aeroflot will also attract those people who travel to Germany on private purposes: ‘in Hanover and the neighboring area many Russian people live’. From the point of view of tourism Harz – a well-known mountain resort in Germany, Goslar, Hameln, Celle – historical centers, Wolksvagen Headquarters in Wolfsburg. Meanwhile, another Russian airline – S7 Airlines – has operated flights to Hanover for several years (ticket price is 14,000 rubles (around 400Euro). However, experts point out that the increased air traffic volume will meet the demand. Firstly, a weekly flight by S7 Airlines is not suitable for everybody. Secondly, Aeroflot offered slots convenient for businessmen (morning arrival to Hanover). Aeroflot has not announced prices for its flights yet, but experts forecast an economy class price to be 12 – 13,000 rubles as on other German routes of Aeroflot.
