[IMG=20892-6725]Starting from September 8th А-320 Royal Jordanian Airlines scheduled flights will be operated from Domodedovo instead of Sheremetevo Airport. Representatives of the Moscow Office of Royal Jordanian Airlines explained this by more favourable terms of co-operation; in particular, evening flights instead of nigh flights. Besides, change of dislocation allowed the airline keep the rates at the same level – around 16,000 rubles (500 Euros). Simultaneously, Royal Jordanian Airlines had to reduce a number of flights from three to two per week owing a drop in demand for the country as a result of Lebanon – Israeli conflict. Thus, Nikolay Kozirov, General Director of Artisspace, said: ‘at the moment the demand for Jordan is at its minimum rate – fewer than 10 tours per week are sold’. However, travel companies that work in the Jordan market hope that the interest in the destination will soon recover and evening slots will be very convenient. Meanwhile, forecasts for neighboring Lebanon are less optimistic. Experts say that ‘some hotels continue host clients but the whole infrastructure in the cities has been destroyed that makes excursions impossible’. However, starting from the middle of October Aeroflot plan to relaunch its flights to Beirut which airport destroyed in the war was reconstructed. ‘As soon as we receive the permission for flights to the destination of Russian aviation authorities, flights will be operated to Lebanon with the same frequency as before – twice a week’, commented the Head of Aeroflot Press Service, Irina Dannenberg. The Aeroflot Press Service withheld comments on the excepted demand for flights to Lebanon, while travel market experts forecast the flights will be in demand among those who travel on business not for pleasure.
