[IMG=21074-6912] On September 27th the flight from Antalya consolidated by TEZ TOUR landed at Vnukovo Airport with the million passenger of Atlant-Soyuz in 2006. The delegation of representatives of Airport complex, the airline and mass media made it a special even as it was the first time Atlant-Soyuz had million passengers per year. For example, in 2005 468,000 passengers flied by Atlant-Soyuz that allowed him to be the 18th in top-20 airlines considering the number of transported passengers. Vladimir Davidov, General Director of Atlant-Soyuz, commented that ‘the current success is the result of constructive co-operation of the Airline, Vnukovo Airport and the leading tour operators. Million passengers per year is beginning of a new business stage for an airline’. Meanwhile, not only Atlant-Soyuz is entering the new stage of development. Thus, according to Roman Pakhomov, General Director of VIM-avia, operation of internation scheduled flights allows them to develop. Starting from September 2006 the airline operates flights from Moscow to Thessaloniki three tomes a week. Moreover, VIM-avia plan to operate scheduled flights to dubai and Barcelona that will also help the airline to improve its performance: in 2005 VIM-avia was the 6th in the rating of airlines and served more than 1, 500 000 passengers. Meanwhile, Aeroflot is still the first with 6, 600 000 passengers served in 2005.
