On April 13th BANKO Information Service received a letter from travel agency Max and Moritz. It said that the General Director of the company, his family and friends found themselves in the difficult situation in Madrid – they booked a tour to Spain from FranceTOURS + in March.
‘We paid for the tour on confirmation. However, when tourists arrived to Madrid on April 12th they had to get to the hotel on their own expenses as nobody met them at the airport. Having arrived to the hotel tourists found out that the booking of the hotel was cancelled by FranceTOURS + the day before. Therefore, the tourists had to pay for accommodation too’, said the letter. Besides, Olga Prokopieva from Max and Moritz said to a BANKO correspondent that the tourists could contact their tour operating company only on April 13th, however, FranceTOURS+ withheld comments on the situation having offered to discuss all the claims on arrival.
A BANKO correspondent contacted FranceTOURS+ office. According to Alexander Panchenko, the company continues accepting all claims: ‘the problems with Max and Moritz company are being solved. I will comment on this later’, said Panchenko.
