On April 24th the Domodedovo Airport in its press release unveiled the results of the competition among airline companies for becoming the most ‘punctual’ carrier. According to the press release, Polet Airlines complied with its flight schedule at 92,9%, Tatarstan – at 92,65% and Pulkovo – at 86,54% and were recognized top three Russian airlines which operated more than 100 flights in March. Qatar Airways (96,5%), China Eastern (90%), Emirates (87,1%) became the top three foreign airlines. The leaders of the ratings will have preferences from the airport, including take off and landing discounts for aircraft.
Nevertheless, the preferences will not refer to the most popular airlines on the travel market – S7 Airlines took the 7th place in March (79%), VIM-avia took the 8th (71%), Transaero – the 11th.
Meanwhile, Sergey Bikhal (Transaero) said to a BANKO correspondent that flights to the main destinations are operated with punctuality. According to him, flight delays mainly occur on transatlantic and Far Eastern routes due to weather conditions.
Furthermore, Press Secretary of VIM-avia, Petr Seibil, said that they realize the current flaws and are trying to improve the figures.
