Turkey and Bulgaria has been in the greatest demand in the region for the last several years with Turkey winning the competition for at least four years. According to touroperating companies, this year two new destinations will join Turkey and Bulgaria in the fight for local tourists. Thus, Natalie Tours intends to launch a charter flight to Spain, while Rosa Vetrov Travel Company in co-operation with one of the Omsk travel market player plan charters to Greece starting from the end of June.
Experts forecast the improvement of competition stimulated also by the decision of operators that specialize in Turkey to increase tourist flow to the country. For example, Letour travel company plan to send to Antalya 47 flights (there were 26 flight last year). Letour explain its ambitious initiative by favorable economic situation in the region. However, experts doubt it will be easy to realize the plans in highly competitive situation. ‘In case Rosa Vetrov and Natalie tours launch the planned flights to Greece and Spain, it will be reasonable to reduce a flight volume to Turkey’, commented Larisa Sevostianova, General Director deputy of Eurasia-tour. Moreover, Pegas Touristik that has been working in the region for two years being a Letour’s competitor also plan its own charters to Turkey. According to Anna Podgornaya, Sales Director of Pegas Touristik, the details will be revealed next week.
