Who Will Fly To Stuttgart?

   On April 1st Germanwings launch a Moscow – Stuttgart flight by Airbus 319 – the first direct flight between the cities.
   Meanwhile, travel market players feel optimistic towards Germanwings initiative due to travel attractiveness of the destination. Thus, Andrey Smirnov, the Head of German Department of Altus, said: ‘the region has a good potential for excursion tourism – Mercedes Factory, Swarzwald, Boden See, Baden-Baden and other resorts are located near Stuttgart. Furthermore, Viktoria Zhenchevskaya, Director of DSBW, suggested: ‘we do not expect Stuttgart to become a mass-market destination. Nevertheless, its popularity will depend on the cost of flights – the advantage of low-cost airlines is attractive prices for one-way tickets’.
    In general, experts expect businessmen rather than tourists to be interested in the new flight. Besides, Alexander Turchenko, Director of Chaika-Tour, said: ‘we forecast high demand for the flight in summer as many Russian people immigrated to southwest of Germany. Before their relatives flight via Frankfurt and now will fly directly’.
