Tourists’ Luggage is Looked for in Mexico

   On October 28 IS BANKO received the Foreign Affairs Ministry response to the request it sent earlier which asked about the situation with the Russian tourists who were hit by the Wilma hurricane. As the situation developed on October 27, the return of some tourists to Russia was still in question. According to the information provided by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the applications of the people who were on vacation at the Mexican Kankun resort began to arrive to the Consulate Department of the Embassy since October 24: ‘It concerns 12-15 families staying at different hotels. All of them are safe at the moment, they are in the towns of Merida and Kankun (the exact number of people is being defined now).’
   The comment also confirms that a part of tourists has already went back to Russia, and the main problem today is to get back the luggage they left at the Kankun hotels hit by the hurricane. ‘The Consulate Department is taking every necessary step to localize our citizens and provide every possible aid to them, including the search and delivery of their luggage, and return to their home country.’
