[IMG=21233-7073]The issue that generates the great interest among the Ekaterinburg market players is the perspective of two new charter programs to exotic destinations – Goa and Hainan. The first one will be launched on November 28th and will be terminated on April 4th. The consolidators of the program – Pegas Touristik and Sunrise tour – decided to operate flights by VIM-avia Boeing – 757 once in ten days. Dmitry Kushev, Deputy of General Director of More Travel, commented: ‘I do not think this flight is highly potential. The program will be successfully materialized in high season, but will become problematic in low one’. ‘Apparently, the flights to Goa will be 20% excessive but is is normal for a new destination’, said Svetlana Stolyarova, Director Deputy of Orange Tour – one of the flight consolidators. The flight to Hainan announced by Bureau South Cross is planned to be operated from Ekaterinburg once in two weeks after the New Year. However, at the moment the contract is not signed yet. Andrey Kuznetsov, General Director of Bureau South Cross, commented on the company’s initiative as follows: ‘the demand for China in the region is evident and the new flight will afford to meet the demand’. Meanwhile, travel market experts forecast that the success of the new charter programs to Hainan and Goa will be prevented by doubled air traffic volume to Thailand. The Urals Airlines A-320 scheduled flight and S7 A-310 flight to the destination from Chelyabinsk will be added to the last year volume – weekly Transaero Boeing-767 flight. New flights will be operated once in two weeks. Despite the 10% increase in prices tour operators feel enthusiastic towards Thailaтв perspective in the region: ‘Thailand will be in demand even despite the growth of air traffic volume’, said Marcel Gineev, Director of Discovery tour. Moreover, the region will see the increase of air traffic volume to Egypt. Three Tu-154 flights from Chelyabinsk, one TU-154 flight and two Boeing-757 flights will be added to the current air traffic volume. ‘Prices for tour packages now are lower than last year, but sales are stable at present’, emphasized Stolyarova. Nevertheless, she is worrying tour operators might face dumping prices and excess of flights to Egypt after two weeks.
