On May 15th the Embassy of Switzerland will adopt certain changes within the procedure of consular fee payment. A representative of PAC Group said in the interview to a BANKO correspondent on April 14th that the fee will increase from $38 to $55. Besides, the payment is to be made in Raiffeisenbank. ‘That will result in 3$ commission. Therefore, the majority of tour operators that specialize in Switzerland set the fee at $60’, said Yury Stepin, General Director Deputy of PAC Group. Other tour operating companies confirmed the information, however withheld comments on the Swiss initiative.
According to travel market experts interviewed by a BANKO correspondent the new procedure will not result into considerable problems. The only unfavourable consequence pointed out by the experts is the increased period of visa issuing procedure. ‘At the moment it takes 3 days, but starting from May the visa issuing procedure will take four days. This will be especially noticeable during the New Year period’, stated Anton Gorlishkov, Specialist in Switzerland of Erzog Travel Company.
