Snow Stimulates Sales

   At the beginning of March the leading Russian touroperating companies that specialize in skiing tours in Europe realized special offers to Austria and Andorra. Maximum discount is 20%. According to experts, at the end of winter season, travel market players attract tourists’ attention to the last flights of charter programs. ‘The period from March 10th to March 20th has always been marked by drop in demand, therefore discounted prices have been offered’, commented Andrey Shmelkov, Development Director of VKO Travel.
   Furthermore, other experts, for example, Maxim Pristavko, General Director of Jet Travel, pointed out that this year discounts are not considerable.
   Meanwhile, Boris Burikin, Director of Ascent Travel, outlined a peculiarity of the season – possible interest in skiing tours until May due to favourable weather: ‘there were massive snowfalls at the majority of resorts and it will not melt until May’.
