Snow is on the way

   Most European ski mountain resorts are ready for the start of the season. Central Europe has been covered by snow storms during the month several times, thanks to which German, Austrian, French, Swiss and Italian Alps have a stable snow blanket. Judging from the abundance of snow the season is expected to be successful. ‘In Italy there was a strong snowstorm’, - says Marina Nikitenko, head of the destination in ‘Pac group’. – ‘So by the end of December, in time for new tourist visits there should not be any problems with skiing’. Natalia Gabidulina, head of the Austrian destination at ‘Ascent travel’, adds: ‘On Austrian high mountain resorts the depth of snow is already over a meter, on lower Alps it is similar’.
   The season at Pyrenean mountains is also opened: ‘On the 1st of December 90% of ski lifts were started, 85% of tracks were opened, - says Natalia Novikova, head of the advertising and marketing department of ‘VKO Travel’. – The previous day there were strong snowfalls’.
   Many ski mountain stations of Czechia, Slovakia and Slovenia also started their work. ‘In Slovakian Low and High Tatri there is a 60-cm snow cover’, says Marina Tikhomirova, manager of high mountain resorts of ‘Travel land’ company. - ‘On the Slovenian resorts it is up to 1 meter with temperature of minus 4-5 degrees.’ Only in Bulgaria the situation is not that good: in Bansko, for example, the temperature is 0°С and the snow is not stable yet.
