‘At the moment accredited agencies can present documents to the Embassy from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00a.m. without previous appointment. But this refers only to documents of tourists who do not need to be interviewed in the Embassy’, said Svetlana Stroganova, Director of Travel Company Eurotravel. Meanwhile, Alexander Turchenko, Director of Chaika-tour, specified on the categories of tourists who are not interviewed in the Embassy: ‘they are those who choose 5* hotels, go to group tours, educational tours, river cruises. Besides, this rule does not refer to groups of three and more people, who travel to resorts and fairs. Meanwhile, individual tourists going to 2-4* and groups of two are interviewed in the Embassy of Germany before a trip'. Experts believe that during the high season cancellation of previous appointment rule will stimulate the reduction of visa issuing period.
Furthermore, operators pointed out that the Embassy of Germany in Moscow plans to introduce a procedure of consulate fee payment through a bank. Therefore a receipt will be added to a required package of documents. This procedure has not been officially adopted by the Embassy. Besides, it will not be a problem, according to experts interviewed by a BANKO correspondent.
