The air traffic volume from Samara to Turkey will double this summer (BANKO news/15.03). According to local market players, each consolidator – Pegas Touristik (Tatar Airlines) and TEZ TOUR (Samara Airlines) – intends to launch four flights per week.
Experts believe that the competition between two Moscow tour-operating companies will result in a wide range of special offers to Turkey. Thus, Eugenyi Anikin from Samara-Aerotour forecasted the following development of events: ‘the competition will be followed by pricing war, which will consequently lead to less than $200 tours’. However, at the moment the price level for tours to Turkey is quite high: ‘TEZ TOUR realizes a 7-day tour for $550 and Pegas offers tours at practically the same price’, stated Tamara Smirnova, Director of DVS – tour agency.
At the moment, Moscow tour operators are interested only in flights to Antalya from Samara, however, planning further extension of the geography. For example, Samara-Aerotour, Sputnik-Germens and RASIP plan to realize a charter program to Barcelona buying in-country services from TEZ TOUR. Thus, Alexander Denisov, Executive Director of Sputnik-Germens, believes: ‘if this season flights to Barcelona are successful, TEZ TOUR will launch its own flight to the destination next summer’.
Meanwhile, Dalaman and Crete are considered perspective destinations for the Samara travel market. Thus, TEZ TOUR intends to operate a 10-day charter program to the region, while experts emphasize Riviera plans to launch a flight to Dalaman starting from the middle of June. Furthermore, Sputnik-Germens, Intourist, RASIP, and Samara-Aerotour promote charters from Samara to Crete in co-operation with Bureau South Cross. Samara Airlines will realize flights once in 9-12 days.
