Russian Charter Center Cancels Its' Charter Programme To Hania

   A new company called The Russian Charter Center has announced changes to its' new charter programmes. The company will launch flights to Iraklion (Boeing - 757, VIM-Avia) on June 4th, instead of April 30th as previously planned. A second charter program to the destination will be operated from July 13th.
   Meanwhile, The Russian Charter Program has cancelled its charter programme to Hania. Alexey Molokanov, General Director of Russian Charter Center commented briefly that 'We could not find a competitive aircraft'. Travel market insiders have reacted positively to the cancellation - given the general lack of promotion of Hania as a destination in the Russian market. Anatolyi Garkushin, General Director of pantheon Travel Company observed that 'At the moment the best option is to fly to Iraklion and then to transfer tourists to Hania'.
   Moreover, experts point out shortage of hotel rooms in Crete. ‘Stop sales is the main feauture of this season owing the high interest in the destination of German tourists’, explained Viktoria Kazimova, Tourism Director of UTE. Furthermore, experts forecast high demand for Crete among Russian tourists given the current sales depth – people book tours for June.
