[IMG=20923-6759]Rostov-na-Donu tourists who plan to spend their holidays abroad will have to fly either via Krasnodar or Moscow owing the construction works at the local Airport from September 17th to October 22nd that made tour operators adopt changes within their autumn flight programs. Meanwhile, local tour operators say that last year the Turkish season finished in the middle of October, while this year the last flight to Antalya will be operated on September 9th. Furthermore, flights to Sharm-el-Sheikh will start a month later than usual. Svetlana Zemtseva, Director of Rosintour, commented: ‘at the moment we have to work via Krasnodar. Reconstruction of the Airport affected our plans and provoked reduction of air traffic volume’. Tour operators can not use an alternative, military airport as it is not facilitated with customs control, its passenger capacity allows to operate only four scheduled flights per week. Moreover, from the airport it is possible to operate flights only to Moscow. Furthermore, Evelina Butova, Director of Travel Agency Olives with Pearls, doubts flights will be operated from Rostov at the end of October: ‘there is no guarantee that reconstruction will finish in time. Therefore, we plan our programs starting from November 1st’.
