information that the Rostourism have terminated the right of the FranceTOURS + Travel Company to engage in all tour operating activity.
In mid April BANKO learned that France Tours + had defaulted on several obligations. All the reported cases at that time followed the same pattern - on arrival in Spain, tourists who had booked tours in advance with FranceTOURS + found that the booking had been cancelled and that they then had to pay for accommodation at their own expense.
Meanwhile, the tour operator was not available by phone. Natalia Ovsyannikova from the Max and Moritz travel agency, whose clients suffered this fate - explained that "we tried to contact the acting General Director of FranceTOURS +, Alexander Panchenko, but it appeared that his contact phone number was registered to a another person, and that he does not live in the flat that he is registered to. Therefore, we had no choice but to take legal action - we still hope to receive compensation."
