On February 23rd eight Russian tourists were involved in the accident in Egypt as a result of three buses crash close to Safaga resort, the Russian Embassy in Cairo informed BANKO. All eight of them were in a minibus Toyota which slowed down before a police checkpoint, as a result a big tourist bus crashed into its back that made the mini bus move forwards and to crash into a front bus. All Russian tourists suffered traumas of different severity – from bruises to brain concussion and leg fracture. They were taken to hospital.
The Russian Embassy in Egypt pointed out that the mini bus is owned by Travel Ways incoming company. Meanwhile, the company withheld comments having forwarded a BANKO correspondent to a manager responsible for the Russian market who was unavailable at the time the news item was being published. DETOUR travel company which is a partnering company of Travel Ways also did not provide BANKO with any details of the case.
