‘The tender for incoming companies was announced in November by Kaliningrad authorities. I knew about it from an official source (Russian Newspaper), went to Kaliningrad and applied documents to take part in the tender. The results were planned to be announced on December 20th, but none of the local companies could have prepared a tour ten days before the start. In general, it seems logical that a Moscow company acts as an incoming company in Moscow’.
Detinkin also commented on the terms of the program and extra payments: ‘Initially, it was planned to organize a 6-day program but due to train schedule we had to make it one day shorter. As for extra charge, approximately 1,000 orphan children and 4 leaders of each of 63 groups went free of charge, for the rest 1,500 children it cost 3,000 rubles, while the real price is of course higher’.
