Increase In Price for Russian Tours

   After the New Year period that was marked with the high demand for tours to Russian cities, incoming regional companies faced the increase in accommodation and transport costs by around 15-20%, informed representatives of Nijny Novgorod travel companies. ‘We already warned our partners about possible growth in tour prices and at the moment we are calculating new prices’, said Natalia Gomonova, Director Deputy of Faintour, to a BANKO correspondent.
   Meanwhile, some travel companies have already calculated new prices. According to Tatiana Derebenets, General Director Deputy of Express HM Travel Company, 2-day and 3-day tours to Nijny Novgorod including excursions cost 200-300 (7-10$) rubles per person more. However, in order not to let the current increase in prices affect the demand travel companies try to optimize expenses. ‘Foe example, for small groups we use only minibuses and offer two variants of excursions – by bus and on foot – when possible’, said Irina Sorokina, General Director Deputy of Diligence Travel Company.
