As the project is planned as a franchising one, owners of the rooms themselves are supposed to invest into the development. The initiators of the project from Nectar of Gods company calculated that the refurbishment of one room will cost approximately $5,500, while to build the terminal will cost $540, 000 with 3,5-year pay back period. According to organizers the project kindled interest of Krasnodar businessmen. However, no contracts were signed. ‘We have just started to promote the project and probably the first terminal will be built by April, 2007’, explained General Director of Nectar of Gods, Vadim Ovchinnikov. Nevertheless, travel market players explain the doubts of Krasnodar businessmen differently: ‘The idea is good but the market is not ready to realize it yet’, said the Head of Russian Department of Vand International Tour, Irina Solyankina. Besides, according to experts, property owners can be interested in the project only if constant loading of rooms is guaranteed. Therefore, it is necessary to form the demand that is doubtful at the moment as even at the booking stage tourists want to know all accommodation details: location, distance to the sea, availability of a swimming pool and a waiter who will bring cocktails at any convenient for tourists time. ‘To establish such infrastructure on the basis of separately located buildings is impossible. In the nearest future famous hotel chains will appear in Krasnodar, while the attitude towards the economy class hotel is skeptical’, said Sergey Romashkin, General Director of Dolphin Travel Company.
