[IMG=20130-5903]Starting from June 19th the German Airline Company DBA operates three scheduled flights per week flights to Stuttgart from Domodedovo by Fokker-100. Thus, at the moment there are four flights per week to the destination – Germanwings have been operating flights to Stuttgart on Saturdays by Airbus – 319 since April 1st. In spring Russian tour operators believed one flight to the destination was reasonable. Meanwhile, DBA representatives doubt the possible excess of flights and make positive forecasts. Thus, Vitaly Korenyugin, specialist of PR Group of East Line (co-owner of Domodedovo Airport), commented on the German initiative as follows: ‘after studying the potential of the region and the competition DBA considered three flights to Stuttgard per week to be economically effective. Fokker-100 passenger capacity is 100 people – in the current situation a flight will be a success even in case of 70% load’. According to him, DBA plan to increase flight frequency and to have a more capacious aircraft pointing out the company bank on tourists not businessmen. Furthermore, Russian travel market experts emphasize that in spite of tourism attractiveness of Stuttgart the destination is not promoted in the Russian market. ‘We do not rush into making forecasts about the success of the marketing campaign however, Stuttgart is potentially interesting for tourists - Mercedes, Schwarzwald, Bodensee, Baden-Baden and other popular resorts are located near the city’, said Mikhail Smirnov, the Head Of the German Department of Altus Travel Company.
