[IMG=20235-5997] According to new rules for visa-issuing period adopted by the French Embassy those who apply for visas on June 26th, will receive visas on July 10th and on July 11th visas applied on June 27th will be issued.
In spite of the warning the French Embassy made in advance travel companies consider the situation as ‘hard times’. Tour operators receive booking confirmations from agents later than planned; therefore they have to arrange interviews for tourists in the embassy in order to speed up the process. The French Embassy confirmed that a number of arrangements for personal interviews has increased. According to consulate agents, that arranging an interview, for example, on June 26th, a tourist will be interviewed only on July 4th, however, in this case the visa-issuing period reduces.
Furthermore, on June 26th the French Embassy adopted new rules for visa applications upon which travel companies must present information on an airline and a number of flight, a copy of tickets, and a detailed program. Travel market players point out the last requirement will especially contribute in the increase of workload owing the fact that France is a popular destination among individual tourists.
