According to Oleg Klimenko, Director General of the local company ‘Svit’, the nature of the Expocenter which hosts the exhibition does not correspond to the scale of the event, which is visited not only by Ukranian exponents but also by those from abroad, mostly from Poland, Hungary and Austria. It is not always possible therefore to successfully organize the inflow of visitors.
Nevertheless, the sell-out was not unexpected by the experts. ‘The travel exhibition is the largest and oldest theme exhibition in Ukraine which is held annually in the autumn,’ said Liliya Savosina, the commercial Director of Odessa based company ‘Malita’. ‘If you do not visit it, you deprive yourself of the opportunity for perspective partnerships, considering the fact that the Ukranian market is still at the formation stage. Unfortunately, we could not get in there today, there is a long queue at the entrance, so today we are walking in the city. We will try it tomorrow again.’
